Food for Thought
"Christian" or Follower of Christ?

That certainly was food for thought. I appreciate the “spirit” of the message. However, I just can’t embrace the tag line “Christian No More”. The bible refers to us as Christians.
I think the tagline was meant to provoke thought. I don't believe the creator of the video was saying we no longer should call overselves Christian. I think he was saying it's more than slapping on a bumper sticker, wearing a WWJD band and listening to Christian music that makes you a follower of Christ
The problem i have with this series is the same problem i had with parts of Mike Warnke's stand up routine years ago. Like this video series, Mike use to poke fun at those in the Christian community that were not hip by wearing their hair long and wearing suits instead of jeans in reaction to how the "suits" use to perceive the long hairs in church. They both made the same mistake by trying to narrowly define what a Christian should look like on the outside. But i think we take these things too seriously. It's meant to provoke thought.
The only thoughts these video series provoke are those of cynicism and an attitude of scornful negativity, especially creating a general distrust of the integrity or professed motives of the creatures of these obtuse vignettes. Who is the target audience? Is this the best way they can demonstrate stewardship of their resources?
I usually delete anonymous comments but I'm leaving this one up. I really have to disagree with thier view. Cynicism, scornful negativity and obtuse are a little strong for this humorous video. The video was produced by Community Christian Church so I think the target audience was believers.

Who are we to disagree?
